A NAMIBIAN school learner has earned a place on Rosatom’s Icebreaker of Knowledge 2026 expedition after winning the international science competition, securing the opportunity to travel to the North Pole aboard a nuclear-powered icebreaker in August.

Kadhikwa Tironenn Amutenya was announced as one of the international winners during the final of the seventh Icebreaker of Knowledge educational project, held at the Museum of Atomic Energy in Moscow.
As part of the programme, Amutenya will travel aboard the nuclear icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy and participate in an educational and scientific expedition featuring lectures, practical workshops, scientific experiments and interactive activities led by Russian and international experts.
