Premieres 9 July on Netflix.

‘The Westies’

JK Simmons stars as fictional Irish mob boss Eamon Sweeney in this crime drama set in 1980s New York. The series blends historical detail with a story about younger gangsters challenging Sweeney’s authority. Against the backdrop of a major convention centre development, rivalries emerge between the Irish mob and the Italian Mafia. Tom Brittney, Allen Leech and Titus Welliver round out the cast in a tale of corruption, power and organised crime.
