SWAKOPMUND – Erongo governor Nathalia /Goagoses has called for more involvement of regional structures, local businesses and communities in the implementation of the Swakopmund–Schwarzekop pipeline replacement project.

/Goagoses was speaking at the groundbreaking of the N$83.9 million project that took place yesterday outside Swakopmund.

The project is being implemented by NamWater as part of their rehabilitation projects for ageing pipelines and is co-funded by the German government through KFW Development Bank under the Water Sector Support Programme.

The development of critical water infrastructure will contribute to sustainable and reliable water supply for the Erongo region.
