Six Injured in B2 Crash Near Arandis

More information has become available following the serious road accident on the B2 road near Vergenoegd, about 30 km from Arandis towards Usakos recently.

According to the West Coast Safety Initiative, the accident happened at around 16:45 on the Saturday on the railway bridge and involved a small utility vehicle and a double cab pick-up in what was described as a partial head-on collision. The driver of the small utility vehicle became trapped inside the wreckage, while the five occupants of the double cab pick-up sustained mostly minor injuries. Shortly after the collision, the double cab caught fire. The bridge railing prevented both vehicles from rolling down the embankment.
