Gustav Jung and Chris van Lill combined superbly to win the Windhoek Golf Club competition on Saturday after producing an impressive 47-point total.
The competition attracted 56 players, with golfers treated to a challenging but rewarding day on the fairways as they battled for top honours. Jung and van Lill emerged as the standout pair, edging Alois Nyandoro and Dignity Moyo, who finished runners-up with 45 points.
Claud Abrahams and Gelson Gidieon completed the podium places after carding 44 points.
The competition also featured nearest-to-the-pin prizes, with Junbog Wee claiming the prize on hole three, Danie van Schoor on holes nine and 17, while Jano van der Walt took honours on hole 13.
The event also included lucky draws courtesy of The Corner Butcher, with Natasja Louw, Wico Coetzee and Dietrich Schrywer among those walking away with prizes.
The club will turn its attention to an individual Stableford competition next weekend.
