Namibia in Africa’s top 10 economies …industrial progress trumpeted

Namibia has emerged as one of Africa’s top ten industrialised economies and counts amongst the continent’s most resilient trading markets.

This information is contained in the African Development Bank’s (AfDB) latest African Industrialisation Index.

The report highlights Namibia’s industrial and capacity-building progress, placing it within the top ten performers across the continent, a notable achievement considering the broader regional and continental economic headwinds.

With a score of 0.6295, Namibia is ranked tenth, marking a significant improvement from previous years, especially with economic scores of 0.6243 in 2022 and 0.6251 in the year 2023.
