VICE President Lucia Witbooi has urged newly graduated police officers to uphold integrity, professionalism and respect for human rights as they begin their careers in law enforcement, while reaffirming government’s commitment to strengthening Namibia’s security institutions. The graduating cohort comprises 382 women and 288 men, marking the first time in the history of the training programme that female graduates outnumbered their male counterparts.
Witbooi made the remarks during the graduation ceremony of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Basic Training Course 1 of 2025/2026 in Gobabis on Friday, where 670 cadet constables officially completed their training.
