THE Namibian Power Corporation (NamPower) has inaugurated the Sekelduin Substation — the first fully digital substation on the African continent, with a total project investment of N$394 million.

Speaking at the inauguration of the substation, located some 8 km east of Swakopmund, the managing director of NamPower, Kahenge Haulofu, said that the construction of the Sekelduin Substation building commenced in July 2021 and was completed in March 2023.
