Born and raised in the vastly populated town of Rundu, located on the banks of the great Kavango River, Axaro was just like many young boys his age, football crazy. By the time he went to further his secondary education at the Rundu Secondary School, Axaro was already making waves on the football fields. Aged 19, barely out of his pair of shorts, local giants Cuca Tops Football Club came knocking on the door for his precious signature to find refuge with the black and white stripe outfit, and as they say, the rest is history.
He announced his arrival via an avalanche of well taken goals in the hotly contested domestic league. His impressive performance did not escape the sharp eyes of national selectors. He was selected to represent his motherland at the youth level internationally and was subsequently promoted to the national Olympic team.
The free-scoring youngster became the go-to man when it came down to goal scoring for the Tops. When Katutura giants Tigers qualified for the CAF Cup Championship, the club was in dire need of a proven goal scorer and tiptoed to Rundu to capture the free-scoring teenager. Axaro turned out for Ingwe in both the home and away games against Manzini Wanderers from Swaziland during his short-lived lodging at Donkerhoek.
