Capricorn Foundation invests N$5m in ECD

The Capricorn Foundation has committed at least N$5 million over the next three years to Namibia’s first outcomes fund for early childhood development, becoming the first local private-sector partner to back the innovative financing model.

The investment forms part of a partnership between the Capricorn Foundation, the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture (MEIYSAC) and the Education Outcomes Fund (EOF).

The programme, currently in the design phase and expected to launch in 2027, aims to reach more than 25 000 children over three years.
