Growing up in Tsumeb, golfer Wensley Haseb never imagined that the sport he was introduced to as a child would one day make him one of Namibia’s leading golfers.

Most recently, he successfully defended his Bank Windhoek Northern Open title at Tsumeb Golf Club after carding rounds of 72 and 73 for a one-over-par total of 145. He is also the reigning Central Open champion and Tsumeb Golf Club champion.

Born in Grootfontein and raised in Tsumeb, Haseb spent his childhood in the northern mining town where his love for golf first took shape.
