Business Reporter MEATCO has announced to stakeholders in the Zambezi Region that the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between Meatco Northern Communal Area and the Zambezi Meat Corporation (ZAMCO), which was in effect from 10 April 2021 to 15 April 2026, has reached its contractual expiry. Undamuje Hambira, Communications Officer at Meatco, explained that following this, the parties have agreed to implement a Transitional Exit Plan from 16 April to 30 June 2026 to ensure a structured and orderly disengagement of MEATCO operations and transition to ZAMCO. “During this period, MEATCO will progressively scale down operations at the Katima Mulilo Abattoir in a controlled manner.
