Tales of the Legends – In the bubble with streetwise Baainaar, Temba Nghitaunapo

Like many young boys his age Temba Nghitaunapo was football crazy, playing street football barefooted aspiring to represent boyhood team Blue Waters at senior level. However, his relocation to the predominantly colored school in Narraville, galvanized his interest in rugby.

Temba’s arrival at the learning institution was like Manna sent from Heaven, became close buddies with Damaschu Croza. The latter cajoled him to try his hand at rugby and though Temba was reluctant at first since he did not understand the game, Croza persuaded him to give it a go.

After few hard and demanding practice sessions, the boy from Kuisebmund fell in love with the game, starting to pay more attention to the basics of his newly found pastime. And by the time the strongly built flanker went to further his studies at Augustineum Secondary School in Windhoek, Temba’s interest in rugby intensified.
