FARMERS in the Hardap Region have shared how agricultural inputs, gardening tools, and training received through a drought resilience project have strengthened their farming activities and improved their ability to adapt to changing climatic conditions.

The Enhancing Resilience of Farming Communities Affected by Drought through the Promotion of Adaptive Agriculture project is being implemented by the Government of Namibia through the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), with financial support from the Government of Japan.
Among the beneficiaries are Liezl Vass from Kalkrand and Elizabeth Von Schach, who said the support has helped them improve crop production and livestock management while reducing the impact of drought conditions.
