WALVIS BAY – The Namibian Competition Commission (NaCC) has found no wrongdoing following investigations into alleged anti-competitive conduct in the horse mackerel fishing sector.

NaCC was investigating two cases involving Erongo Marine Enterprises, Namsov Fishing Enterprises, Venmar Fishing, Princess Brand Processing, formerly known as Seaflower Pelagic Processing, Cavema Fishing, Scombrus Fishing, Gendev Fishing Group, Hadago Fishing, Carapau Fishing and Etosha Fishing.

According to a statement issued by NaCC, the Commission did not find any evidence that companies colluded to fix quota usage fees or abused their market dominance to impose unfair fees on fishing rights holders.
