GUANGZHOU-Namibia is seeking advanced Chinese road safety technology to reduce crashes at accident hotspots and improve traffic safety following discussions held during President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah’s State Visit to China, Minister of Works and Transport Veikko Nekundi said on Sunday.
Nekundi told New Era that Namibia wants to work with Chinese companies to introduce technologies that can improve road safety, particularly at blind spots where many serious crashes occur.

He said the cooperation forms part of wider transport discussions between Namibia and China aimed at improving infrastructure, logistics and connectivity.
“We want to engage on technology that would enhance road safety for our people,” Nekundi said.
