SPYL Secretary Ephraim Nekongo said in a statement on Friday that ministers have a constitutional responsibility to take full charge of their ministries and ensure that administrative decisions are aligned with the interests and aspirations of Namibians.

“The Swapo Party Youth League equally wishes to urge the Cabinet to ensure that the granting of environmental clearance certificates is not left solely at the mercy of administrative functionaries who bear no direct political responsibility towards the citizens for the preservation of Namibia’s natural resources,” Nekongo said.
