A KNOWN male suspect who allegedly raped his 11-year-old niece in the Omusati Region earlier this month is still on the run.
The Namibian police at Onandjaba in the Okalongo constituency are investigating a case of rape read with provisions of the Domestic Violence Act of 2003 following an incident in the Ohendjeno village in which the suspect allegedly raped his niece who stays in the same house.
The incident occurred on Thursday the 6th of August at around 21:00.
The alleged crime was reported to the police by the victim’s biological mother.
According to the police, the suspect is known but not yet arrested, since his whereabouts are unknown.
