Namibia off to strong Davis Cup start

Namibia made a strong start to the Davis Cup Africa Group III competition in Bujumbura, Burundi, winning two of their three opening matches against Ivory Coast on Tuesday.

The competition, which started on 11 August and concludes on 15 August, features six nations: Namibia, Benin, Burundi, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Togo. The Namibian team is aiming to secure promotion to World Group II next year.

Namibia is represented by team captain Gert Dippenaar, brothers Connor and Codie van Schalkwyk, Steyn Dippenaar and Daniel Jauss.
