THE Namibian government has sought a postponement of a civil case involving the MFV Heinaste fishing vessel involved in the Fishrot scandal, stating that the main witness in the matter should first testify in the criminal matter before the civil case involving the fishing vessel, due to safety concerns.
ESJA Investments, a subsidiary company of the Samherji group of companies, an international group engaged in fishing worldwide, is seeking a court order for funds of up to N$162.6 million (USD 8,804,431.67) to be released by the Namibian government and its sister company, Heinaste Investments Pty Ltd.
