22nd Annual Sports Awards launched

The 22nd edition of the 2026 Namibia Annual Sports Awards (NASA) was officially launched yesterday in Windhoek, with a revised awards framework, categories, nomination process and implementation timelines.

To qualify for this year’s awards, sporting achievements from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026 will be considered.

This year, the Namibia Sports Commission reviewed the rulebook, and one of the key outcomes was to group the awards into two categories. The first category is the Performance Excellence Awards, which recognise outstanding sporting achievements during the qualifying period.
