‘Drugged & raped’ … doctor allegedly rapes taxi driver

ONANDJOKWE – A 31-year-old doctor at Onandjokwe Intermediate Hospital is expected to appear in the Ondangwa Magistrate’s Court today after being arrested for allegedly raping his 26-year-old friend, a taxi driver.

The alleged incident occurred in the suspect’s bedroom at Onandjokwe Intermediate Hospital.

The Oshikoto police confirmed the incident.

It is alleged that on Friday, the suspect called the victim while he was at work and invited him to Oniipa to celebrate his new job and spend the weekend together. Police said the victim initially told the suspect that he did not have money for transport, but the suspect offered to pay for it and did so.
